Res shrine range
I checked with the search, so I'm pretty sure I'm all clear for this:
The range for res-shrines needs to be fixed up. In Tyria, I can activate a res shrine from many yards away, making it easier to run to a shrine when my party's about to wipe and we want to respawn close.
But in EotN, you have to be practically right on top of the shrines to activate them, making a last second dash for one next to impossible.
I'm just really tired of having to go stand right on a shrine in EotN to activate it, yet while vanquishing in Ascalon the other day, I was able to get a shrine up from a good 50 or so feet away. It's only semi-frustrating, and I can deal with it, it's just something that annoys the hell out of me and I'd like to see changed.
Two options I have in mind:
1) Make the activation range in Tyria closer to the shrine.
OR
2) Make the activation range in EotN a but farther from the shrine.
I would much prefer the ladder.
Fire away.

Or not base your teams strategy on running to a rez shrine before you wipe. I'd prefer to see Tyrias range reduced if one of your ideas had to be implemented.

EotN is supposed to be hard content, so this will just make the game even easier.
Both are fine as they are.
/notsigned for either

Yeah, but some of us are okay with just a stepstool. :B
Anyway, this seems kinda like a waste of time to fix. If you're that close to a shrine that you can make a mad dash and die by it, what's to keep the enemies you aggroed from following and camping the shrine?
I try NOT to activate shrines before the area's clear. You can usually get better reputation rewards in GW:EN for killing more things before visiting the shrine's NPC anyway.
/neutral. It's pointless, but it just doesn't affect me at all.

Thing about Tyria, unlike all other continents including GW:EN, is just how FEW resurrection shrines there are. Get wiped in the latter part of The Falls, and tell me that it isn't annoying (the only shrine is at the very beginning of the map). So having a pretty large range is necessary, so people aren't complaining about "zomg, I just went to the beginning of this large huge area and I was pretty close to the exit!"
And on the other continents, shrines are a dime a dozen. They have to make the activation range pickier so you don't end up with weird glitches ("But I swore I was closer to that shrine..."), though I think it'd be nice if it wasn't right smack on top of did-you-talk-to-the-NPC activation range.

/signed I hate how you have to be right on a GWEN shrine to even activate it. While they're at it, they should fix the re-spawn points of res shrines. I can't count the number of times I've been in the Realm of Torment (I hate it in there) and we started to die so I ran to the next res shrine, activated it, died, and we respawned at the previous one instead of the newly activated one. This all needs to be fixed.
